Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Franklin, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Valid RN licensure in Tennessee
• Current BLS certification (ARC or AHA Instructor or Provider; online courses not accepted)

Certifications (as applicable by specialty/unit)

• ACLS (for L&D, ER, CCU, Telemetry, Cath Lab, ER Peds, Cardiopulmonary, Nursing Admin Float)
• PALS (for Inpatient Pediatrics, ER Pediatrics, Cardiopulmonary)
• NRP (for L&D and Cardiopulmonary)
• CHEMO (for Oncology)
• CCRN (for CCU)
• TNCC or ENPC (for ER Pediatrics)
• EFM (AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring for L&D)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) for ER, CCU, Inpatient Peds, ER Peds, Nursing Admin Float
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• State License Verification (Primary Source Verification required prior to start)
• NURSYS Verification (prior to start)

Background and Compliance

• Criminal background check within 60 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years (instant searches not accepted)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Education verification required
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years of start
• Employment application and skills checklist required

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (QGOLD or 2 Step PPD within 60 days of start; Tspot not accepted), updated annually
• TB questionnaire if past positive, updated annually
• Immunizations:

  • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox (required by agency)
• Drug screen within 60 days of start (includes marijuana, cocaine, PCP, amphetamines, opiates, etc.)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (10/1–3/31)
• COVID vaccination preferred (initial series)

Additional Information

• Fit testing will be completed onsite during orientation
• Candidates must review facility lunch and break policy
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams as applicable by profession/specialty

This position is a travel/contract role requiring compliance with all listed certifications, background checks, health screenings, and documentation prior to start.
