Job Opportunity: Outpatient PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant)

Location: Leslie, Michigan (Jackson area with some local travel)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• On Call: None
• Weekends: None
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Willing to consider 1-year contract

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA
• First-time travelers are welcome (no prior travel experience required)

Certifications & Licenses Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• State License verification (primary source online verification)
• National Tech Certification as applicable (depending on state requirements)

Compliance & Documentation

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form prior to start
• Background Checks including:

  • 7-year SS Trace and County searches
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM (annual)
  • HHS/OIG (annual)
• Competency Exams as applicable by profession
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (with specific guidelines for past positives)
• Immunization or titer proof for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccine, or history of chickenpox)
• Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

References & Skills

• 2 Professional References required for Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care
• 1 Professional Reference for Per Diem Non-Acute Care
• Skills Checklist required annually

This position is suitable for PTAs with at least 1 year of experience looking for a travel contract with no prior travel experience required. The role involves outpatient therapy with a standard weekday schedule and no on-call or weekend duties.
