Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: York, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

Unit Information

  • Unit: Invasive Cardiology

  • Description:

    • 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs
    • 3 dedicated Electrophysiology labs
    • 2 shared cath/EP labs
    • 33 prep/recovery bays
    • Over 6,000 procedures per year
    • Advanced cardiovascular treatments including:
      • Complex coronary procedures
      • Ventricular assist device (VAD)/ECMO
      • Structural heart procedures (TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping)
      • Complex atrial and ventricular ablations
      • Pacemaker/ICD implant & explant
      • Cardioversion
      • Pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation
      • Peripheral intervention
      • Pulmonary embolectomy procedures
  • Additional Info:

    • May care for COVID patients
    • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Experience & Certifications

  • Required Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
  • Certifications Required:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Other Requirements:
    • EPIC experience required

Time Off & Return to Office

  • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
  • Weekends: As needed

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Background Checks:

    • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
    • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
    • PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
    • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start, must be finalized prior to start (cannot start with pending results)
    • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search required within 5 years of start; can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days
  • Health Documents:

    • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
    • Negative QGold or TSpot TB test within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Vaccines (2 doses) or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal
    • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
    • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal
    • Flu seasonal vaccination or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
    • COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
    • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year of start (Aya requirement only)
    • Respiratory Safety Clearance within 1 year of start, renewed annually

    • 2 professional references within 3 years of start

    • Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment
