Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (EMG Tech)

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x8 hours
• Work Setting: Physician Office required; Adult Inpatient preferred
• Equipment: Cadwell preferred
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Must be AHA or ARC certified
  • EMG Technologist certification required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st time travelers accepted)
• Vaccine Requirement: Flu vaccine mandatory for all employees

Required Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics specialty
• Prior travel experience not required

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• EMG Technologist certification required
• Other certifications may be required based on unit or role (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) but not explicitly stated for this role

Health & Safety Requirements

• Flu vaccine required (seasonal vaccination/documentation mandatory)
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past year, updated annually
• Drug screening within 90 days of start, updated annually (does not include marijuana)
• Other immunizations/documentation required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years preferred)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer documentation
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer documentation
• N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)

Background & Compliance

• Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Education verification of highest degree as required by position
• I-9 and E-Verify attestation required prior to start
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to and during employment
• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information

Additional Notes

• Valid driver's license required if driving is an essential job function
• Facility-specific modules (SITELS) must be completed prior to start date
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests may be required
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required annually
