Registered Nurse (Pediatric CICU) - Travel/Contract Opportunity
Location: Kansas City, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights, 36 hours/week
Start Date: ASAP; ideally within 4-6 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking experienced Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurses for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). Candidates must have clear CICU/CVPICU experience documented in their work history. May float to cardiac medical-surgical floor as needed.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years Registered Nurse experience
- At least 1 year Pediatric CICU experience
- Prior travel experience not required (first-time travelers are welcome)
Certifications Required
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)

Additional Requirements & Information
- Must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
- Background check required within 3 months of start, including county and statewide searches for Missouri and Kansas
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start
- Immunizations and health documents required, including:
- Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B documentation
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption (seasonal requirement)
- Pediatric pharmacology and competency exams required
- Color blind testing required
- References: 2 supervisory references or performance evaluations within 1 year of start
- Must complete facility-specific forms and orientation acknowledgments prior to start

- Scrub color: Any kid-friendly color or pattern
- Parking: Free with permit
