- Locals Accepted: No (candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility)

- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 eight-hour shift per 2 weeks)
- RTO Restrictions: One time off request per 13-week assignment of 5 days or less; no holiday RTO for auto offer
Required Experience
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Required Licenses and Certifications
- License: Alaska RN license (must have in hand for auto offer)
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACM (Acute Care Management) certification preferred
- Epic experience required
- Acute Care experience required

Required Qualifications and Compliance
- Background Checks: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates; nursing degree verification required for RNs
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Immunizations and Health Requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (Alaska placements require positive titer and vaccine series)
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually for respirator use
- Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel candidates, updated annually (onsite testing available if needed)
Additional Requirements
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
- Skills Checklist: Required annually for applicable units
- Epic Experience: Must have completed Epic training modules relevant to role
- WorkRamp Modules: Completion of required regulatory, specialty, and facility-specific training modules prior to start and annually as applicable
- Floating Policy: Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
Scheduling and Work Conditions
- Shift times may vary within the specified range
- Weekend work required as noted
- Floating within scope of practice to meet facility needs
- Limited time off requests allowed during assignment
This position is ideal for RNs with acute care and Epic experience who are open to travel assignments in Alaska and meet the licensing and certification requirements. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
