Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) — temporary LSRT accepted (issued within 3-5 days after application and payment)
• Epic Experience: Required
• Call Requirement: Yes, 1 week and 1 weekend per month
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Holiday Requirement: As needed

Licensure & Certifications

• State license verification required within 30 days of start
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) — verify based on assignment
• National tech certifications (ARRT, ARDMS, ASCP, CRCST, NMTCB, RDMS) required within 30 days of start as applicable

Competencies

• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam (updated annually)
• Competency Exam (updated annually)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (updated annually) if applicable
• Core Parts I, II, III (updated annually)

Background & Screening

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Drug screen within 30 days of start (specific panels depending on hire date)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months (not required by facility but required by placement agency)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declinations accepted with proper forms)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per current guidelines
• Annual TB questionnaire
• MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) — 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titer low
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination within 12 months
• Varicella — 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if titer low
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31) with exemptions and declinations accepted
• Mask required at all times for unvaccinated candidates

Documentation & Compliance

• Employment application with 7 years of work history, no gaps over 30 days
• Government-issued photo ID matching all documentation
• I9 and E-Verify compliance
• Facility-specific policies (e.g., employee appearance) must be reviewed prior to start
