Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Operate 3D, GE C-Arm, Medtronic O-Arm, OEC & Elite GE C-Arm in OR & Endoscopy, AMS 4 GE Mobile units
• On-call requirement: Minimum 16 hours on-call per month and work every other holiday if needed
• Work settings include Outpatient, Inpatient, Operating Room, ER, NICU, PICU, Adult ICU
• X-Ray experience required in Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Head, Chest/Thorax, Musculoskeletal, Fluoroscopy Studies, Enema Studies, Surgery/C-Arm
• Shift: Friday – Monday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Daily caseload: Approximately 150 cases
• First-time travelers accepted
• Floating within scope or to sister facilities is not required
• Locals accepted

Required Qualifications

• License: Virginia State Radiologic Technologist License (temporary VA form allowing work while license is pending for 90 days is acceptable)
• Certification: ARRT registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA provider card required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiologic Technology (highest required years of experience)
• Experience with PACS, Portables, C-Arm, Contrast

Special Requirements / Skills

• Ability to operate advanced imaging equipment (3D, C-Arm, O-Arm)
• Experience in multiple clinical settings including critical care units and NICU/PICU
• Ability to handle a high daily caseload
• On-call and holiday work flexibility

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including lifetime criminal, education verification, and federal/state registries
• Drug testing within 30 days prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
• Immunizations and titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB testing or questionnaire
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Fit mask (N95) certification required and must be updated annually
• References: 2 required, including one from current year and one within last 2 years, from supervisors or equivalent
• Employment application and work history verification (2 years) required
• Completion of facility-specific orientation, confidentiality, and code of conduct forms prior to start
• Competency exams and color blindness testing required for clinical candidates

• Candidates must be prepared to sign facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements and orientation packets
• Modules and training must be completed within specified timeframes prior to start
• Onsite BLS renewal available but candidate responsible for fees and scheduling on days off

This position is suitable for X-Ray Technologists with at least 1 year of experience, valid Virginia licensure, and flexibility for on-call and holiday shifts in a high-volume acute care setting.
