Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown Unit
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4-6
  • Required Years of Experience: 2 years
  • Prior Travel Experience: Required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
  • First-timers: Not accepted
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
  • Shift Hours:
    • 3 shifts of 12 hours = 36 hours/week
    • 4 shifts of 12 hours = 48 hours/week
    • Shifts under 12 hours (8 or 10 hours) = 40 hours/week
  • On-call: Not required
  • Floating: Yes, must float within scope to all adult acute care units
  • Block Scheduling: No block scheduling; Return to Office (RTO) blocked on specific dates
  • Local Candidates: Accepted, no local radius rule
  • Pending License: Not accepted; license must be in hand at start

    • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) by American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Clinical Experience:
    • EPIC charting experience required
    • Telemetry experience required
    • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
  • Preferred Certifications/Skills:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
    • NIH Stroke Certification
    • Ventilator management
    • Conscious sedation

  • Competency exams and unit-specific skill checklists required
  • Facility-specific modules and acknowledgments to be completed prior to or at orientation
