Employment Details

• Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year
• Licensure: Active South Carolina license or multistate license
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • EPIC Experience (1 year required)

• Floating Policy: Agency staff must float to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses as needed, but only to units they are qualified for.

Certifications Required

• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• BLS - Basic Life Support
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) - Required for ER/ED, Pediatric ER, and Behavioral Health RNs
• NIH Stroke Certification - Required for specific units
• Core Competencies - Various training modules required annually

Health Documents Required

• Physical Exam - Must attest to the candidate's ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Drug Testing - Required within 1 year of start and updated annually.
• Vaccination Records - Documentation for Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Flu vaccine.

Background Check

• Criminal Background Check - Required annually, including a 7-year check.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM - Required within 30 days of start for new assignments and extensions.

Education

• Education Verification - Highest level of education required.
