Shift Information

• Schedule:

  • 2 shifts of 8 hours (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
  • 2 shifts of 12 hours (10:30 AM - 11:00 PM)
• Call Requirement: Yes

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Experience:

  • 1 year in a Level I Trauma facility
  • 1 year in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
  • 5 years overall Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience
  • At least 2 years dedicated to cardiac and vascular procedures

Patient Demographics

• Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses: Cardiovascular/Thoracic

Required Skills and Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - if applicable
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - if applicable
  • NIH Stroke Certification - if applicable

Additional Requirements

• Flexibility: Must be flexible with scheduling.
• Background Check: 7-Year Criminal Background Check required.
• Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen required within 3 months of start.
• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
  • MMR Vaccines or Positive Titer
  • Hepatitis B Titer or 3-Vaccine Series
  • Varicella Vaccines or Positive Titer
  • Flu Vaccine or Declination during flu season

References

• Professional References: 2 required, including at least 1 from a manager/director.
