- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Description
- Provide nutritional care for elderly participants in the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program.
- Work under supervision of the PACE Program Manager as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Assess nutritional needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
- Maintain professional competency and adhere to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Obtain and evaluate nutritional and medical history, lab data, medications, and diet orders.
- Recommend and implement nutrition interventions to support medical diagnoses.
- Complete nutrition assessments per regulatory guidelines to assist in care planning.
- Educate participants, families, staff, and contracted providers on diet, food safety, and sanitation.
- Document participant information in electronic medical records and care plans.
- Participate in daily interdisciplinary team meetings and other team activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and/or Food and Nutrition meeting or exceeding American Dietetic Association requirements.
- Successful completion of an internship or coordinated undergraduate program per American Dietetic Association guidelines.
Licenses/Certifications
- Registered or registration-eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Iowa.
- Current CPR/BCLS certification.
- Maintains current Adult Mandatory Reporter status.
- Holds or will obtain within 90 days an ANSI-accredited food protection/safety certification (e.g., ServSafe Food Protection Manager).
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Skills and Abilities
- Effective oral and written communication skills for interaction with participants, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Certifications Required
- BCLS
- CPR
- Registered Dietitian Certification
State License
- Iowa (Compact allowed)
