Job Description

• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
• Facilitate diagnosis by applying appropriate skills.
• May have independent responsibilities and supervise or instruct department personnel as assigned.
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation per hospital policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Attend annual mandatory education including blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
• Maintain department competencies as required.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography.
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
• 10 or 12-hour shift requests will NOT be considered; must work posted schedule.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will NOT be considered.

Requirements

• Specialty: Technologist
• Years of Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years X-Ray experience
  • Minimum 2 years current Mammography experience
• Certifications:

  • ARRT (R) Certification - Required
  • ARRT (M) Certification - Required
  • BLS (AHA) Certification
• Licenses:

  • Massachusetts state license required
• Preferred Experience:

  • Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Scheduling:

  • No schedule accommodations (e.g., block scheduling) allowed
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at time of application; no more than 5 days allowed
  • No RTO requests accepted after submission
• References:

  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Profile Requirements:

  • Work history and skills checklist current to within 1 year
  • Licenses and certifications must be uploaded with profile

• This assignment is not open to travelers who want to work alongside another permanent placement or travel assignment.
• Strict adherence to posted schedule is required.
• Facility is a 298-bed teaching hospital with a full continuum of medical specialties and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department.
• The hospital is highly ranked for patient safety and clinical excellence.
