- Unit details: 16 ORs, 16-bed unit, average 35-50 cases per day, patient ratio 1:1
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Operating Room experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment within the previous 15 months
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Driver's License
- Experience with the da Vinci surgical robot
- Ability to scrub
- Ability to circulate
- Pediatrics experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrub experience
- Experience with Neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, Ear, nose, throat, and Vascular cases
- Trauma Level I experience
- Professional reference / reference check from within 24 months
Additional Job Details
- Scrubs provided
- Orientation dates listed in the source: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
- Weekend call runs from end of shift Friday until 0630 Monday
- Average turnovers expected in less than 20 minutes
- Special equipment includes 3 Davinci robots and Stealth technology for Neuro navigation
- Service lines include Cardiac/PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants, ENT, and plastic procedures
