Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Pikeville, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel

Contract Details

Length: 8 weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 12-hour nights (no blocked scheduling)
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week (36 hours not accepted)
Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday required unless approved time off is given
Float Requirements: Will float throughout all in-patient Med Surg/Telemetry units; may assist as an aide if needed
On Call/Call Back: Not applicable

340-bed Level II Trauma Center
Patient ratio: 1:6
Unit size: 15-45 beds depending on assignment

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
Experience working with Level I or Level II Trauma patients
BLS issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
