Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location: Neenah, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (5:30 PM – 6:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Weekend Schedule: Every weekend or every other weekend rotation (traveler’s choice)
Holidays: As needed
Float Requirements: Float within facility and to other facilities within a 60-mile radius based on skillset
On Call/Call Back: None

Job Description

• Work on a Medical/Surgical 5th Floor unit
• Patient ratio approximately 1:5-6, paired with LPN/CNA support based on acuity
• Primary patient cases include Medical/Surgical, COVID, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization, post-pacemaker care, and TR Bands
• Occasional pediatric patients (rare)
• Charting experience with EPIC within the last year is required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 3 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Experience with post-pacemaker care and TR Bands
• One completed travel nursing assignment
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Orientation includes 8 hours of unbillable training
• Guaranteed hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed
