Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Progressive Care/Telemetry

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a fast-paced, 44-bed Intermediate Cardiac Stepdown Unit. The unit cares for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular cases, arrhythmias, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer/defib/ablations, acute chest pain/MI, and med/surg overflow patients. Typical patient ratio is 1:4.

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• On-call/call-back with minimum 2-hour callback
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Scrub colors: Any color
• Low census hours: Up to 36 hours of unbillable low census hours; call-back pay applies if called in during these hours
• Flu season policy: Mandatory flu and COVID vaccination or mask-wearing at all times

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Wisconsin RN License
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass an EKG test during the first week of hire
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
• Minimum 2 years experience in IMC/PCU/Telemetry
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one prior travel nursing assignment completed (prior travel experience required)
• Minimum 1 year recent EPIC charting experience

Additional Notes

• Radius rule: Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Orientation week hours may vary; guaranteed hours apply except during holidays when the unit is closed
