Required Qualifications

• 1 year of Echo Technician experience within the last year
• RDCS or RCS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• High school diploma or equivalency, and successful completion of an ultrasound echocardiogram program

Preferred Qualifications

• Stress testing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification and check for physician orders or special instructions
• Perform echocardiogram testing using ultrasound imaging techniques and report significant findings to the cardiologist and ordering physician
• Document patient information, preliminary findings, and completion of the echo
• Maintain patient records, equipment, supplies, daily statistics, and a clean, orderly work environment
• Follow infection control, patient safety, confidentiality, and other unit policies and procedures
• Support unit coverage and assist with routine patient and communication tasks as assigned
