Required Qualifications
- 1 year of Echo Technician experience within the last year
- RDCS or RCS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- High school diploma or equivalency, and successful completion of an ultrasound echocardiogram program
Preferred Qualifications
- Stress testing experience
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification and check for physician orders or special instructions
- Perform echocardiogram testing using ultrasound imaging techniques and report significant findings to the cardiologist and ordering physician
- Document patient information, preliminary findings, and completion of the echo
- Maintain patient records, equipment, supplies, daily statistics, and a clean, orderly work environment
- Follow infection control, patient safety, confidentiality, and other unit policies and procedures
- Support unit coverage and assist with routine patient and communication tasks as assigned
