Job Description

• Position: Cardiac Cath Tech
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Weekends: Only for call coverage
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
• Experience Required:

  • Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Number of Staff: 24

  • Day Shift: 1 supervisor, 12 mixed discipline staff (techs and nurses)
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: Varied
• EMR Systems: Meditech, Merge Hemo
• Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Skills and Qualifications

Must Have:

• BLS
• ACLS
• RT or RCIS certification

Preferred:

• Experience with procedures such as:

  • Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
  • Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
  • Peripheral interventions
  • Watchman procedures
  • Thrombectomy
  • IVC filters
  • Varied IR procedures
