Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Location

Employment Details

• Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
• Schedule: 3-12 hour shifts per week, with every other weekend required
• Guarantee: 36-hour guarantee, with an option for a 48-hour guarantee and blocked scheduling (as long as the same days are not required each week)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Providing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrating critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department.
• Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegating patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • New Mexico RN License
  • NHIS Stroke Certification
  • SAMA or CPI Certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant nursing role
• Additional: Floating may be required, but rarely needed
