Work Schedule
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (approximately 36 hours/week)
- On-call one weeknight per week and one weekend per month (on-call rotation)
Unit Overview
- Surgical unit specializing in cardiovascular procedures
- Located on the 1st floor of the main hospital building
- Patient ratio on night shift: 1:1
- Equipment includes surgical instruments, bovie cautery, EVH video tower, laparoscopic video tower, surgical tourniquet, IABP console, Impella console, cryo system, patient warming/cooling system
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Typical Procedures
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
- Aortic and Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement
- AAA Endovascular and Open repair
- AV Fistula creation, revision, thrombectomy
- HDC, CAPD, BBT
- TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist experience within the last year
- Knowledge and compliance with USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk standards
