Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location

Work Schedule
- Night shifts
- 36 hours per week guaranteed
- 36 weekend hours per week
- No call requirements
Job Description
- Provide respiratory therapy services across multiple hospital areas including ICU, ER (adult and pediatric), Nursery (Level 1), and Med Surge floors.
- Participate in resuscitation teams and attend high-risk C-sections.
- Float to all areas of the hospital, caring for patients ranging from newborns to adults.
- Use specialized equipment such as Drager V500 ventilators, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilators, neo puff, V60 BiPAP, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, and Ram cannula.
- Document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Patient Population
- Adult critical care
- Pediatric patients in ER and PICU
- Neonatal patients in NICU and Nursery (Level 1)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Maine
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
- Experience working with pediatric and high-risk patients
- Proficient in using EPIC electronic medical record system
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in NICU and PICU settings, demonstrating comfort and competence with critically ill newborns and pediatric patients
Personality Fit

- Respectful and positive attitude
Unit Information
- Approximately 159 beds in the facility
- Respiratory Therapist floats throughout the hospital to various units
Dress Code
- Scrubs of any color allowed
- No unacceptable attire specified
This position is a replacement travel assignment with a 13-week duration, offering a dynamic role across multiple critical care areas.
