OR - RN Specialty Travel Job Opportunity

Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Active North Dakota or Compact RN License (willing to obtain)
• Experience with General, Neuro, and Ortho surgical cases required
• Experience in a large hospital or level 2+ trauma center preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment
• Experience with navigation technology for Neuro/Ortho cases
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Job Details

• Role: Circulating nurse in the operating room
• Responsibilities include:

  • Sterile prepping of surgical sites
  • Catheter insertion
  • Opening sterile supplies
  • Positioning patients for surgery
  • Documenting in electronic medical records (modeled after EPIC)
  • Setting up and utilizing OR equipment (cautery, lasers, laparoscopic, arthroscopy, Stealth navigation)
• May float occasionally to nearby campuses within 20 minutes (rare)

Schedule

• 8 or 10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday
• 1 weekend of call every 6 weeks plus 1 weekday call per week
• 1-2 extended shifts per week (not considered call back, just shift extension)

Additional Notes

• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue)
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• If previously employed by this healthcare system, must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to submission
• Supports multiple campuses with a total of 33 operating rooms
