Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Holidays as needed
• Rare floating to ICU overflow telemetry or Ortho/MedSurg

Unit Overview

• Telemetry/PCU setting with two floors
• 20 beds on the 2nd floor and 22 beds on the 6th floor
• Typical patient ratios: 1:5 on days and nights

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification
• Active ACLS certification
• Unexpired driver’s license copy required at submission
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination required, or approved medical/religious exemption
• Background hits must be disclosed at submission

Experience Notes

• First-time travelers accepted

Clinical Details

• Common patient types include telemetry, post-cath, post-STEMI, NSTEMI, pacers, oncology, and some post-surgical patients
• Peritoneal dialysis experience will be taught
• Vents managed by respiratory therapy
• Charge nurse may have a full patient assignment
• No IV team
• Hospitalist in-house 24/7
• Respiratory therapy in-house 24/7
• Pharmacy in-house 24/7

Additional Submission Rules

• Only one submission at a time across the system
• Previous permanent staff must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers who worked there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
• Up to 2 candidates may be submitted per opening
