Job Opportunity: Surgical Tech

Location

• Silverdale, Washington

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shifts
• 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Days on a 4/10 schedule (4 days of 10 hours)
• Weekend and holiday work required
• Call required with a 30-minute response time

Unit Details

• Orthopedic Operating Room (OR) with 4 suites
• 15-25 cases per day
• Common cases: all orthopedic cases and spine surgeries
• Independent sterile processing unit (not staffed by Orthopedic OR)
• EMR system: EPIC
• Charge nurse present
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7
• Floating not usually required
• Floor-specific orientation usually lasts one week

Required Certifications and Licenses

• State license required for Surgical Tech
• BLS certification required
• Certification through NBSTSA may be required depending on position
• Sterile processing certification accepted: IAHCSMM or CBSPD (CRCST or CSPDT)

Additional Information

• Scrub color: blue (provided)
• Telemetry and ventilator use not usually required
• Scrubbing by RNs not usually required
• Manager will conduct phone interview and discuss call details
• COVID vaccine required
