Role Overview

• OB RN assignment in Dixon, Illinois.
• 13-week contract.
• 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week.
• 80-bed facility.
• Unit has 7 beds with 1 overflow room.
• 4 LDRP rooms, 3 postpartum rooms, and 1 delivery/procedure room.
• Practice is baby friendly.
• RN is asked to work Antepartum and postpartum.
• No scrub or circulate on C-sections.

Required Qualifications

• Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated.
• BLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• EFM competency.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• L&D experience.
• Post-partum experience.
• Level 2 nursery experience.
• Must be able to produce a negative drug screen for all panels.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience.

Unit Details

• Typical patients include Antepartum, L&D high risk, and level 2 nursery.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio follows AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient acuity.
• During COVID surge, the unit may provide helping hands to med surg and the emergency department.
• Rotation with permanent staff.
• Orientation includes 2 to 3 days, with on-unit learning and 3 days of 12-hour nights.
• Scrubs are provided.
