Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling
• Weekend requirement: full- and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: yes
• Call/standby: determined by NM

Unit Details

• 7th Floor
• 37 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4/5 days and 1:5/6 nights
• Common patient types: medical, surgical, and sepsis
• Telemetry: Phillips Telemetry; RNs are required to be competent in reading strips; centrally monitored off the unit
• Nurse aides: 1:12
• Respiratory/equipment needs: moderate oxygen needs

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA)
• Acute Care Nursing
• RN must be competent in reading telemetry strips
• Must be in state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are completed remotely
• Driver’s license must be submitted

Floating

• Floating is determined by NM and department needs
• May float within Zone 3
• First to float
• If there is an extreme need, could float within Zone 3

Dress Code

• Navy blue scrubs

Additional Notes

• Clinical team will interview the candidate and, if chosen, an offer will be extended on behalf of the facility
• Charge nurse does not take an assignment
