CWON certification
No previous travel experience required

Preferred Qualifications

WOCN
Wound Care Certified (WCC) via NAWCO

Clinical Details

Treats about 5–15 patients per day, depending on the day and new consults
Typical cases include ostomies and/or draining wounds or fistulas, pressure injuries, vascular, arterial, and diabetic ulcerations, skin conditions related to incontinence, surgical procedures, and/or trauma, skin/tissue integrity issues, altered continence, and wound vacs
Responsibilities include wound management consults and recommendations, documentation and billing, discharge planning for supplies, prevention and education, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Uses Smith and Nephew wound vacs
Provides a phone for photo documentation

Float Scope

May float to St Clare, St Elizabeth, St Frances, St Anthony, and St Anne as needed
Float assignments may sometimes be planned in advance

Orientation

Orientation includes all hospitals, with a preceptor and documentation education

No weekend requirement
No holiday requirement
No call or standby requirement
No color preference for scrubs
