OT (Occupational Therapist)

Location: Escanaba, Michigan Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours/week, 5 days/week Start Time: Variable, to be confirmed in the interview

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Active Michigan OT license, or confirmation that the license application has been initiated
• Must agree to a negative drug screen for all panels (facility is a drug-free campus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric experience (not mandatory)

Role Details

• Patient load: 7-10 patients per day
• Common diagnoses: General rehab with a wide variety of patient care, including geriatric, pediatric, neurological, and orthopedic patients
• Supervision: Lead therapist on each shift, who also treats patients
• Support staff: One rehab tech at the facility to assist with cleaning and patient care
• Weekends and holidays: No requirements
• Scrubs: Business casual
• Software: EMR training during orientation

Orientation and Policies

• Non-billable orientation: 12 hours; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
• Department orientation: 1-2 shifts, EMR training, then patient care with mentorship as needed
• Call-off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks, with no penalty or need to pay for the shift
