Job Summary

This position involves providing care to assigned residents in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to location standards, procedures, and individualized resident care plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all residents upon admission and ongoing, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures within defined time frames, following infection control procedures.
• Document all resident condition changes, daily skilled nursing notes, and incidents according to policy.
• Participate in quality improvement processes, including audits and corrective procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members regarding care and condition changes.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Prior work experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Licensure for state of practice is required.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of basic nursing skills and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of medications.
• Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Ability to perform essential functions, including operating tools and equipment, communicating effectively, and maintaining a stationary position as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly supervises assigned employees, including responsibilities for hiring, training, and performance appraisal.

Work Environment

• Moderate noise level with varying frequency of travel based on business needs.
