Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) - Temp Position

Job Description

An Occupational Therapy Assistant supports Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy treatments aimed at improving patients’ mobility and physical health. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting patients with exercises and treatment plans
• Monitoring patient progress to ensure successful completion of treatment
• Encouraging patients during their recovery process
• Helping patients improve quality of life by addressing their challenges
• Assisting injured employees in regaining motor skills to return to work
• Teaching patients with disabilities to increase independence
• Updating patient records for the Occupational Therapist
• Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the office, treatment room, and equipment
• Educating patients, family members, or caregivers on skills and techniques to support treatment programs

Required Qualifications

• COTA license required
• CPR certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation preferred

• Facility is not located inside a hospital and does not belong to a continuing care community
