Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Sonographer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves both clinical and leadership responsibilities within the sonography department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care and staffing needs, including scheduling and payroll review.
• Support staff education, in-services, and specialized training programs.
• Participate in hiring and orientation of new staff.
• Provide leadership by coordinating and delegating patient care; act as supervisor in their absence.
• Manage daily patient care operations, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective services aligned with budget guidelines.
• Serve as an interdepartmental liaison to promote multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain current professional expertise and promote growth among coworkers.
• Handle complex unit situations such as patient complaints and crises.
• Research and recommend strategies to meet patient care needs and achieve departmental goals.
• Represent the organization professionally and promote positive interpersonal relations.
• Evaluate sonograms for technical quality and ensure correct machine settings.
• Perform equipment calibrations and adjustments; select technical factors and imaging modes.
• Notify supervisor or call for service when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be certified and hold current registration with ARDMS or ARRT in Sonography.
