Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Driver's License
- 2 years of Progressive Care Unit experience
- Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS
- EKG/strip reading experience
- Telemetry experience
- Med Surg experience
- Neurology experience
- Neurosurgery experience
- Orthopedics experience
- 3% Sodium (Na) drip experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Trauma care experience
- Trauma Level I experience
- De-escalation certificate accepted from CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA
- NIHSS
Clinical Setting
- Progressive care unit with heavy neuro trauma, neurosurgery, craniectomy, and orthopedic patients
- 25-bed unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–6
Key Responsibilities
- Float across all campuses
- Work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed
Clinical Skills / Equipment
- Heparin, PCA, and 3% sodium drips
- Telemetry, chest tubes, and Airvo
Additional Notes
- Navy blue scrubs required
- 16-hour NBO
- Local radius rule: 50 miles
- Past employees of the listed health system may be restricted from returning to travel roles under the stated separation policy
