Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Heparin drip experience
- Experience with Epic
- Driver's License
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent/current Level I trauma experience
Assignment Details
- Unit bed size: 24–26
- Patient ratio: 1:4–8
- Patient types: general, abdominal, flaps
- Drips/titrations: heparin
- Traveler must float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist
- Contractor is required to work 1–2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
- Orientation date: 10/12 (no sooner, no later)
- NBO: 16 hrs
- Scrub color: navy blue, tops and bottoms, solids
