Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: Four 10-hour days per week with a rotating day off
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Daily caseload: Approximately 130 patient treatments/scans
- Patient population: Infants to geriatrics, including ambulatory, inpatient, and outpatient
- Equipment: Operate 8 treatment machines (External Beam therapists) and/or 2 CT and 1 MRI machine (Simulation staff)
- Systems used: Aria (record and verify system), EPIC (EHR)
- Experience with Truebeam, Halcyon, or Edge machines preferred for easier transition
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs; no floating to sister facilities
- Locals not accepted (75-mile radius rule)
- Pending state license accepted
- No block schedule accommodation
- No call required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- AART certification
- Experience with Epic system
Additional Information
- No weekend or on-call shifts required
- Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- Interviews preferred prior to offering due to technology complexity
- Parking available with monthly fees; free parking for straight night shifts
- Must adhere to facility dress code, hand hygiene, fingernail, and latex allergy policies
- Various certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI)
- Must complete facility-specific orientation and regulatory compliance education annually
