Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday (between 8:15 AM - 5:15 PM)
- Weekend, holiday, and standby call rotations may be required depending on operational needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technician license in Wisconsin
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technician, including experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Tech
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Start Dates
- Available start dates: April 27, May 4, May 11, or May 18, 2026
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 90 days prior to start date, including nationwide and county-level searches
- Education verification as applicable to specialty
- State-specific caregiver screening for Wisconsin within 90 days of start
- Drug screening per standard clinical requirements
- Physical exam (must meet agency standard, not facility required)
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray with TB questionnaire
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or titers, with medical/religious exemptions considered
- Varicella vaccination or titer, with exemptions considered
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination form if applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required annually during flu season)
- Meningococcal vaccine or declination if working in specific departments
Testing and Competency Requirements
- Facility-specific telemetry exams and rhythm interpretation courses may be required depending on unit assignment
- Medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable
- Pass/fail testing for EKG/medication knowledge with remediation process for failures
Additional Notes
- Photo for badge must meet specific guidelines (passport-style, no selfies, solid background)
- Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments required prior to start
- Two clinical references within the last 3 years required (agency standard)
- Employment application and annual skills checklist required
