Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Location: Kerrville, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Seeking compassionate Registered Nurses committed to teamwork and world-class patient care. This position is for a Medical Surgical (MS) RN on unit 2W with a patient ratio of 1:5.

Schedule: 4/4 week schedule with weekend requirements. There are 8 weekend shifts in the 4-week schedule. Day shift weekends are Saturday/Sunday; night shift weekends are Friday/Saturday nights. You must be available to work 4 of the 8 weekend shifts.
Floating: Required to float to unit 3W and other units as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
National Tech Certification Verification
NIH Stroke Certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

Must provide government-issued photo ID.
Background checks including 7-year search, education verification, and annual federal exclusions screenings required.
Required health documents include:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and/or declinations for Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu, and COVID-19
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- Negative drug screen within 1 year of start
Professional references: 2 required within 3 years of start.
Annual competency exams and skills checklists as applicable.
