Job Description

• Licensed Masters of Social Worker (LMSW) with 3 years of experience required.
• Experience with Inpatient Psychiatric patients.
• Must have Cerner experience.
• Responsibilities include:

  • Initial Assessment
  • Daily progress notes
  • Discharge Planning
  • Attendance at morning rounds
  • Communication with patients and family members
• Patient diagnoses commonly encountered:

  • Schizophrenia
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Suicidality

Required Qualifications

• Valid LMSW - Licensed Master Social Worker license in Maryland.
• Minimum 3 years of LMSW experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system.

Prior Travel Experience

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
• Government-issued photo ID required.
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet essential job functions.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• Drug screening (9 panel) within 30 days of start.
• Required vaccinations or immunity documentation:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption (during flu season)
• Annual TB questionnaire.
• Attendance and floating policies must be reviewed and signed.
• Unit-specific competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable.

Additional Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of health assessment surveys prior to start.
• Badge photo required.
• Stroke and Trauma CEUs may be required; must be updated annually if applicable.
• EKG/Dysrhythmia competency exams may be required depending on unit.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification may be required based on unit.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment.
• Various attestations and verifications including I9/E-Verify.

Summary

This is a travel contract position for an LMSW with at least 3 years of experience, specializing in inpatient psychiatric social work.
