Job Opportunity: MRI Tech

Location: Jefferson City, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Full-time evening position
• Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM
• Call and holiday rotation required
• Must be able to work assigned weekends and at least 50% of holidays during the contract
• Rotating shifts and work during inclement weather may be required

Job Description

• Active role requiring ambulation, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs
• Routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
• Position requires ability to work the full shift and at the assigned work location for the contract duration

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 60 days of start
• Additional background screenings including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG within 60 days
• International background check if candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years
• Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) or Caregiver search must be on file within 60 days before starting
• Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test within 60 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, must be initiated within 48 hours of signing contract
• Fit mask test required annually (exceptions apply)
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or approved exemption)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (updated annually)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B series or positive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates)
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Additional Requirements

• Photo for badge (new candidates only)
• Completion of facility-specific forms and acknowledgments within 60 days of start
• Resume must include at least 7 years of employment history with no gaps over 30 days
• Two professional references within the last 2 years required (for non-clinical roles)

Physical & Work Environment

• Must be able to meet physical demands including lifting and moving objects over 20 lbs
• Exposure to contagious illnesses possible
• Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year
