Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Travel/Contract

Location: Silver City, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night
• No on-call duties required for travelers
• Specialty: Registered Nurse in Emergency Room (ER)
• Preferred experience: Emergency and/or critical care

Licensure & Certifications Required

• Current New Mexico or multi-state Registered Nurse license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum years of specialty experience: Not explicitly stated; emergency and/or critical care experience preferred (assume at least some prior experience recommended)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Education verification (transcript or diploma acceptable)
• Fingerprinting required by New Mexico state (to be done at facility)
• Nursys verification as applicable
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declinations accepted)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen within last 12 months (including THC/Marijuana)
• Facility conducts a second drug test with alcohol screening at orientation
• Influenza vaccination strongly encouraged; declination accepted with mask requirement during flu season

Additional Requirements

• Passport-style photo for badge (no filters, no piercings visible)
• Completion and signing of various facility-specific policies and acknowledgements (e.g., confidentiality, code of conduct, compliance, drug-free workplace)
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units

Preferred Certifications (Not Required)

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) for ER nurses
• NIH Stroke Certification (preferred for ER)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) for L&D and RRT
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) for Labor and Delivery

• This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week assignment
