Position Details

- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam - Must be completed via Relias and renewed annually; advanced dysrhythmia required for all RNs
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) - Required for awareness on multiple units; candidates have 3 attempts to pass with 80% or higher; remediation required if failed attempts
Background & Health Requirements
- Background Check: Required within 6 months of start; includes SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable; convictions within last year or active cases disqualify
- Education Verification: Required; diploma or transcript acceptable if verification unavailable
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year, signed by physician, NP, or PA-C; must be updated annually
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days required (specific substances listed)
- Immunizations & Titers:
- TDAP vaccine within last 10 years (no declinations accepted after 2/22/2021)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella - Titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted after 2/22/2021)
- Hepatitis B - Vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted
- Flu Vaccine - Required year-round; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility-specific forms; must be completed by November 10, 2025, for 2025-26 season
- TB Screening - Required annually regardless of results; includes negative PPD, Q Gold, or Tspot within 1 year; chest x-ray if positive PPD
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but accepted if available
