Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • 3 shifts of 12 hours (9:00 AM - 9:30 PM)
  • 4 shifts of 10 hours (11:00 AM - 9:30 PM)
• Call Requirements:

  • 3 overnight shifts per month
  • 1 weekend 12-hour call shift per month (30-minute call window)
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend 12-hour call shift per month
• Float Requirement: None

Experience & Skills Required

• Years of Experience: 3 years (highest required)
• Clinical Experience:

  • Orthopedics
  • Vascular surgery (abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, endovascular procedures, carotid endarterectomy)
  • DaVinci Xi Robotic system experience (general surgery, gynecology, urology)
  • Gynecology and urology experience
• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Michigan Nursing License required
  • BLS (AHA) required

Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – required for ER positions
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
• NIH Stroke Certification
• State License Verification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Criminal background check within 45 days of start (lifetime search from age 18)
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification (copy of highest degree or diploma)
• MI LARA fingerprinting within 45 days of start (if applicable)
• Michigan Central Registry Clearance (for pediatric, RRT, L&D, Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographers)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Drug testing: 10-panel including Marijuana/THC within 45 days of start
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (must include pertussis)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 45 days of start
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption (for candidates starting after Nov 1)
• Fit mask testing (Honeywell DC365N95HC) required onsite for certain roles
• References: One professional reference from a supervisor or manager required
• Complete employment application/resume with full 7 years work history, no gaps

This position offers a specialized orthopedic and vascular nursing role with advanced robotic surgery experience preferred, in a travel/contract capacity for approximately 13 weeks in Michigan.
