Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Preferred 3 years, minimum 2 years with strong experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification (required for all units except Pediatrics, OB, and Labor & Delivery)
• EPIC system experience required

Licensure

• Maryland nursing license OR compact state license with proof of state residency (driver’s license must match compact license state)

Additional Requirements

• On-call: Not required
• Background Check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within one year of start
• Physical Exam: Required within one year of start
• Fit Mask Test: Required within one year of start, must be updated annually
• Immunizations & Health Documents:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required (boosters if negative)
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccination, positive titer, or declination
  • Flu vaccine required annually (declinations not accepted)

Competencies & Training

• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Core competency exams and safety manual acknowledgements required
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred for ICU, required for ER/ED
• Other certifications as applicable based on unit assignment

References & Evaluations

• Proof of 2 clinical references required
• Performance evaluation required if worked with the system over 1 year
• Skills checklist must be updated annually for applicable units
