Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Must have scrub experience to be considered.
  • Able to circulate and scrub in multiple specialty areas including:
    • Transplant (Liver and Kidney)
    • Endovascular and vascular emergencies
    • Neuro, Trauma, MVA, Gunshot, and stabbings
    • Circulate hearts
    • General surgery
    • Pediatrics
    • Microbiology
  • Work hours: 36 hours per week (40 hours per week shift schedule detailed below)
  • Shift: 40 hours per week, with shifts from 8:45 AM to 9:15 PM (two shifts) and 12:45 PM to 9:15 PM (two shifts)
  • Call rotation: 1 night every third weekend

Required Experience

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse

Required Documents & Compliance

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
  • Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release (updated annually)
  • 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start, including:
    • SSN Trace
    • 7-year County search
    • National Criminal search
    • NSOR, OIG, and SAM checks
  • Education Verification (highest completed education) or transcript with graduation date
  • State License Verification and NURSYS Verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Physical Exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
  • Drug Testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
  • Immunizations or valid declinations for:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, NICU, Maternity)
    • TB testing (2 PPDs or QuantiFERON/T-Spot) and TB Questionnaire
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (IGG titers, vaccines, or declinations)
    • Hepatitis B (3 dose series, reactive titer, or declination)
    • Varicella (IGG titer, vaccines, history, or declination)
    • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination (required during flu season)
    • COVID-19 vaccination (most recent) or facility-specific declination
  • Medication and Telemetry competency exams (pass/fail testing required on first day of orientation)
  • Skills checklist and employment application covering 7 years of employment with explanations for gaps over 30 days
  • Two professional references within three years of start
