Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description & Requirements

Strong experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) and IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
Required certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) — ER only
Skills and clinical competencies:
- Airway management
- Management of vented patients
- Artline management (preferred for ER)
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Central line management
- Management of IV drips
- Isolation precautions
- Triage skills (ER/ER Holding only)
- Computerized documentation
- Nurse to patient ratios 1:1-2+
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Interpretation of ABGs (Arterial Blood Gases)
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Continuous IV sedation
- Titration of IV vasopressors
- Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience in specialty required

Background & Verification Requirements

7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
EPLS/GSA/SAM check required
HHS/OIG check required
Education verification matching specialty (transcript or diploma acceptable if verification unavailable)
State-specific abuse registry check (KY State Abuse Registry for Home Health specialties)

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required by facility but required by agency standards)
Fit mask test (annual) with accepted mask types; fit test waiver available for medical/religious reasons
Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable for non-clinical)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
Baseline TB risk assessment within 90 days of start, updated annually
MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or IgG titer required; declinations not accepted
Hepatitis B: Surface antibody titer, series, or declination required
Varicella: 2 vaccines or IgG titer required; declinations not accepted
Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations not accepted
COVID-19 vaccination or medical/religious exemption required; facility-specific exemption form must be completed
