Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Description

• Work at a primary and specialty care campus in Thousand Oaks, CA.
• Flexible shift start times between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM, ending between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
• No weekend shifts required.
• First-time travelers are welcome.
• Must float to sister facilities as needed.
• Scrubs color: Royal Blue.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the field.
• Valid certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from either:

  • Nuclear Medicine Technology Board (NMTCB) OR
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Valid California state licensure in Nuclear Medicine Technology (Department of Health Services, Radiologic Health Branch).
• CPR certification required.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Current and valid Driver’s License or government-issued photo ID.
• Background checks within 30 days of start, including:

  • Social Security Trace
  • 7-year National Criminal History Search (County searches)
  • National Sex Offender Search
  • FACIS level 3 search (includes OFAC)
• Education verification: Diploma or official transcripts required.
• Professional license verification within 30 days of start.
• Facility-specific onboarding documents including:

  • Photo for badge (clear, recent, headshot)
  • Abuse reporting acknowledgments (Elder, Child, Domestic)
  • HIPAA training and acknowledgment
  • OSHA annual education training
  • Confidentiality agreement
  • Access request form (for Allied techs, LVNs, CNAs, Non-Clinical, Interim Leadership)
• Various facility-specific forms and policies as applicable.

Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only, required for certain RN specialties.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC, required for most clinical positions.
• Other certifications may be required depending on specialty/unit (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke, CPI, etc.).
• National tech certification verification required within 30 days prior to start.

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Fit mask testing (specific approved masks required), annual for Aya candidates.
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test (QGold required within 1 year)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or proof of vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or completed vaccine series)
  • Varicella (positive titer or proof of vaccination)
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (Aya requirement).
• Seasonal vaccinations:

  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct-Mar), declination accepted.
  • COVID vaccine required if received after 9/12/2023; declination accepted.

References & Work History

• Two references required, supervisor level or above; one must be within the last year.
• Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
• Work history verification for last 5 years, including gap explanations.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be prepared to complete all required facility-specific online training modules and provide proof of completion.
• Onboarding documents and certifications must be submitted promptly to ensure timely access and start.
• Floating to sister facilities is required as per facility needs.
