Position Overview
- Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Occupational Therapy)
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Work Setting: Adult Outpatient, Rehab Facility
- Typical Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, orthopedic (shoulder, hands, upper extremity), neurological conditions (MS, TBI, Guillain-Barré)
- Required Skills:
- Assessment, evaluation, discharge planning
- Plan of care development and reassessments
- Lifting and transfer techniques
- Patient and family education
- Safety and injury prevention
- Telephone communication
- Use of adaptive equipment
- Pre-discharge planning
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 1 year outpatient experience
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (1st timers accepted)
Certifications & Licenses
- Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Georgia State Occupational Therapy License
- Preferred/Additional Certifications:
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification (refer to specialty requirements)
- Allied Annual License Verification
- State License verification within 30 days prior to start
- Compliance: Full compliance with certifications and licensure required to start on time
Contract Details
- Length: 12 weeks (interpreted from contract_length = 12)
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Orientation: Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 12 weeks = 12 hours)
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days

- TB testing or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
- Immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Flu vaccine or declination required
- Color Blind Testing required
- Skills checklist and work history verification required

- References: 2 clinical references required
- Education verification required (degree related to specialty)
