Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Cath Lab specialty experience to support cardiac and neuro interventional procedures.

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of specialty experience (Cath Lab)
Experience with procedures including:
- Watchman Procedures
- Balloon Angioplasties
- PCU, Stents
- Thrombectomy Cardiac/Neuro
- Coil Embolization
- Filter Placement
- Pacemaker/Defibrillator Device Placement
- Impella Insertions
- Left & Right Heart Catheterization
- Rotablader
- TAVI/TAVR
- Ablation
- Cardiac Mapping
- Cardio Versing
- Conduction Studies
- Electrophysiology Evaluations
- AICSs
Equipment experience with:
- Philips Single plane/bi plane
- Inari, Pembra, Pounce
- Impella, IABP US CSI Shockwave
- Rotablade, IVUS (Boston, Phillips)
- Carto Abbott
- X-Per

Work Schedule Requirements

Weekend shifts required
Call every 4th day and 1 weekend per month
Holiday coverage: 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday

Required Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Licenses

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Louisiana

Additional Requirements

Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
Drug screening within 30 days of start
Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination (seasonal requirement)
Employment application with 7 years of work history, no gaps over 30 days
Competency exams (Medication/Pharmacology, Dysrhythmia/EKG, Core Parts I-III) updated annually with minimum 80% score
