Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • 4 shifts per week
  • 10 hours per shift with a 30-minute lunch
  • Weekdays only
  • Rotating day off based on business/scheduling needs
  • No call required
  • No float required

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
  • Prior travel experience not required
  • First-time travelers accepted

Certifications Required

  • ARRT (Radiologic Technologist)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, no certificates of completion accepted
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, no certificates of completion accepted
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required only for specific pediatric units (MOTT: PACU, Pediatric ICUs); not required for UH PACU
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Required as applicable
  • State License verification (primary source online verification)
  • NURSYS Verification for RN, LPN/LVN, Allied Professionals as applicable
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for PACU, Tele, ICU including CVICU units

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • I9 or Attestation
  • Government Issued Photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Background Checks including:
    • 7-year background check within 30 days of start, renewed annually
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM verification, updated annually
    • HHS/OIG verification, updated annually
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Fit Mask test within 1 year of start (N95 masks accepted)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year; if past positive, clear chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required
  • Immunizations/Titers:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
    • Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination required year-round with strict deadlines; no exemptions allowed

Orientation & Facility Specific Requirements

  • Completion of facility-specific orientation paperwork within 3 weeks of start date is mandatory
  • Candidates must review and sign:
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • Code of Conduct Attestation
    • Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form
    • Sexual Harassment and Misconduct Policy Attestation
    • Cornerstone Module Attestation (completion of online modules required)
  • Pass/fail EKG competency test on arrival to orientation (educators available for assistance)
  • Return facility ID badge and pagers at assignment end to avoid fees

References & Evaluations

  • Two recent professional references required (must be from managers/supervisors; charge RN references not accepted)
  • Facility will complete performance evaluation during assignment

This position offers a structured schedule with no call or float responsibilities, suitable for candidates with at least 2 years of specialty experience and the required certifications. First-time travel healthcare workers are welcome to apply.
