Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Shreveport, Louisiana

Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
  • Call Requirements:
    • Rotate on-call after 11:30 PM
    • Rotate weekend on-call for 24 hours

Required Qualifications

  • Certifications:
    • ARDMS or ARRT(S)
    • BLS (AHA only, RQI accepted; renewal required if expiring within 30 days of start)
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years required
    • Experience working in ER, ICU, Pediatrics, PICU, and with portable imaging
  • Technical Skills:
    • EPIC experience required
    • Experience with GE equipment and PACS systems

Additional Requirements

  • Must have current/valid Driver’s License or government photo ID (color copy required)
  • Background checks including:
    • 7-year criminal background check (within 90 days of start)
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks (updated monthly)
    • Sex offender search (updated monthly)
    • Education verification (if applicable)
  • State license verification: Active Louisiana or Compact License required upon submission
  • National certification verification relevant to specialty (updated annually)
  • Competency exam specific to specialty (minimum 80%, updated annually)
  • COVID-19 medical or religious exemption forms if applicable
  • Photo for badge: Full color, passport-style, recent (within 6 months)
  • Physical exam within 12 months indicating good health
  • Fit mask testing (N95) within 1 year of start; onsite fit testing available if needed
  • Immunizations and health documentation:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
    • Tdap (for select departments)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive IGG titer or completed vaccine series
    • Hepatitis B: Positive antibody titer, completed vaccine series, or booster
    • Varicella: Positive IGG titer, completed vaccine series, or booster
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (Oct-Apr)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (no instant screenings)
  • Skills checklist updated annually
  • Employment application/resume required with 7 years employment history and explanation for gaps

Certifications to Confirm Based on Unit

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – required for critical care and related specialties
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – required for Pediatrics, ER, PACU, PICU
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – required for L&D, NICU, Nursery, Postpartum, ER
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – required for ER
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – required for certain specialties including Critical Care Step-Down, PACU, PICU, ER, Psych & Behavioral Health
